The Only Hope for Peace was Born in the Middle East

The above article was written by David Brickner in 1996 on this topic. Obviously, I found it timely.

The broadside shown above can be found here.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
"May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
and security within your towers!"
For my brothers and companions' sake
I will say, "Peace be within you!"
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,
I will seek your good.

Psalm 122

hmmm Christianity has indeed brought so much peace to the world

just ask the Catholics, and protestants who hate each other and killed each other by the millions. (We won't even mention what xtianity did to non-xtians)

yes, truly your religion is the best hope for peace.

I think to be fair Muslims and Jews have also slaughtered thousands of people. The only difference being the number killed. Christians have killed more by far. I would say that now at least Christianity has gotten over its need for bloodshed and is slowly becoming more and more peaceful.

Moshe,

Insightful and fair comment. Again, more on that later.

Wrongs have been done in the name of all sorts of things, many of them good.

The best things get perverted the most. It's more evidence that the real problem of this world is sin which corrupts even the best.

Same reason the prophets had to always call Israel back to repentance.

Neither Israel nor the Christian church has always done well in following God.

But that doesn't mean the message of God and of Jesus is wrong.
